The Alchemy Mission

Alchemy Dance Company was formed in January of 2007 and is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

True to its name, Alchemy’s focus is on the role that dance plays in transforming our lives, our communities and our world. Alchemy strives to create dance and dance programs that awaken, enrich, enlighten, empower, heal, and entertain.

We fulfill our mission in several ways:

-Performance: Alchemy Dance Company endeavors to produce performances that engage audiences with creative and passionate dance in the Philadelphia area and throughout the country.

-Community Outreach: The Alchemy Edge program takes creative movement and dance education to areas and schools lacking arts programs in Philadelphia and its suburbs. Outreach options include workshops, classes, and lecture-demonstrations.

-Performance Outreach: The Alchemy Out-of-Bounds program brings free performances to those who cannot venture out to our theatrical venues. We realize that dance lovers come in all ages, shapes, sizes, and health, and we strive to make sure dance can be enjoyed and experienced by all. Partnering with local hospitals, camps, senior living centers, and others, we take dance beyond the theater.
