ALCHEMY DANCERS

Leslie Ann Pike started her dance training at age 2. In 2005 she graduated with a B.A. in Dance from DeSales University in Allentown, P.A. While at DeSales she studied under Trinnette Singleton, Vincent Brousseau, Lynne Mariani and many others. She was a member of the DeSales University Touring Company for 2 years, and performed in various dance concerts and musical theatre productions while studying at DeSales University. Before graduating she joined BosmaDance of Washington, DC. Leslie Ann performs with several dance companies and dance artists in the local Philadelphia area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lisa Rook began dancing at the age of 6 and quickly discovered her passion for performance. She studied at Princeton Ballet School where she was accepted into their pre-professional program. In 2007, she graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD with B.A. in Communications/Mass Media and a B.A. in Dance with a concentration in Theatre. At Goucher College, she was chosen to perform works choreographed and/or staged by Nilas Martins, Charla Genn, Ann Marie DeAngelo, Robert Weiss and Michael Vernon. In addition, she was involved in The Moving Classroom Project, which allowed a group of dancers to bring performance and education to inner city elementary schools. Lisa will be attending Temple University in the Fall 2010 where she will be working towards her Master in Dance Education.

 

 

Jennifer Walker graduated from the University of the Arts with a degree in Jazz Dance Performance. Since then, she has performed with ENSO Dance Ensemble, trained with Philadanco, and studied acting at the Wilma Theatre and the Walnut Street Theatre. She has also performed in various other dance, theatre, and film productions including the Garden State Dance Festival, Philadelphia Children’s Theatre and the principal role in an independent film that was released to DVD in 2008, WHAT HIDES BENEATH. Jennifer has been teaching jazz and modern dance locally for 7 years.

Kaitlyn Clark, a native of Philadelphia, started dancing at the age of five. After studying at numerous establishments including Metropolitan Ballet Academy in Jenkintown, Pa, she continued her training at the High School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Kaitlyn graduated from Temple University with a BFA in dance, where she had the privilege of studying with Dr. Kariamu Welsh, Philip Grosser, Kun-Yang Lin, Merian Soto, Lisa Kraus, Eva Gholson, and guest artist Chris Elam. Kaitlyn has had the privilege of performing in the 2009 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, as well as for fellow dancers in Temple University’s dance department throughout her four years there.

Kiera Bianchini began her dance training at the age of 4 in Bucks County, PA. She has trained with various programs such as The Rock School’s summer ballet and jazz intensives and with the Broadway Dance Center, NY. She has received her B.A in dance and psychology from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA on a combined dance and merit scholarship. In addition to distinguished performances at Muhlenberg, Kiera was chosen to perform in a number selected for the Gala performances at the American College Dance Festival. Kiera served as an executive board member of the Muhlenberg College Dance Association and is also currently performing with the ContempraDance Theatre. Kiera teaches dance throughout the Philadelphia area.

Katie Pflueger began her dance training at the age of four. While studying at Delaware Valley Dance Academy in Hatfield, PA, she also taught children's dance classes. For her first two years of college, Katie attended Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA, where she was a founding member, choreographer, and vice president of their Dance Ensemble as well as Assistant Artistic Director of “Journey,” a benefit concert. In February of 2010, Katie performed with Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective under the instruction of Stephen Welsh. She has also been a company member of Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble. Katie is currently pursuing a BFA degree in Dance at Temple University.

Elizabeth Greene is a 2006 graduate from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in dance education with a focus in modern dance. Elizabeth also danced professionally with the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders throughout the 2003-2006 seasons including performances in Superbowl 39 in Jacksonville, FL, The Chinese New Year Parade in Hong Kong, China, an introduction in the video game Madden 2006, and a captain position for her third and final season. She was also a guest performer and featured soloist with the Garden State Dance Festival for three years. Elizabeth is currently currently teaches dance at Kathy Henkel School of Dance in Sewell, NJ, Kicks Academy of Dance in Glen Mills, PA, and Camden County College in Blackwood, NJ. Her choreography has received regional and national recognition with New York City Dance Alliance and The Dancer’s Federation. For three years she has choreographed for Woodland Stringband for the Philadelphia Mummers New Year’s Day Parade.

Rachel Beiswenger started her dance training at the age of four at Chester Valley Dance Academy studying ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop. She continued her dance training at Towson University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance Performance. While at Towson she had the opportunity to work with Juan Carlos Blanco, Carlos Danaan, Stephanie Powell, Dion Wilson and Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell. After graduating, Rachel moved to Texas to work with the Granbury Operahouse, where she performed in and choreographed several musicals. She also assisted with the children’s theatre school. Rachel is currently living and teaching dance in Malvern, PA.

Alison Goodwin graduated with honors from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Jazz Dance Performance. She trained at the Pennsylvania Dance Conservatory and was in the Philadelphia Dance Theatre where she performed various soloist roles. Alison has also worked for Busch Entertainment Corporation and danced with Venus Dance Company.

Jeanie Chrome began her dance training at age 6. In 2008, she earned a BFA in Jazz Dance Performance from The University of the Arts. Jeanie has worked with many choreographers and companies throughout the tri state area including RIP Dance Company, Fusion Dance Ensemble and MEGA Productions. Jeanie has been teaching all styles of dance since 2001 and is currently the director of the dance department at the Main Line Performing Arts Center in Ardmore, PA. Her productions have won top prizes at both the regional and the national competition levels. Jeanie is a member of the Main Stage Theater Company in Blackwood NJ where she was cast as "Dee Lee" and the dance captain in "Smokey Joe's Cafe." She acts as dancer/actress and talent coordinator on WILCO Cable Company's "D Train Comedy and Variety Show". And, she is currently working on her own "Freedom Ascending Dance Project" scheduled to debut Fall 2010.

 

                         

Blythe Smith’s training began at age 3 and includes instruction with Pennsylvania Ballet, Columbia City Ballet, Ballet Magnificat, Central PA Youth Ballet, and Atlantic City Ballet. She attended The University of the Arts on scholarship and graduated with a BFA in Ballet Performance in 2004. Her performance credits include Regional and National Dance America Festivals as well as soloist roles with The Vineland Regional Dance Company and Atlantic City Ballet. Blythe is a dance instructor at several studios throughout NJ and PA and is the Associate Artistic Director of Magnolia Hill Studios in NJ. She also dances in a touring Tina Turner Review Show entitled, "Simply the Best” and is a member of Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble.
